The
designs are by Danish designer Nina Tvedt, of Tvedt
& Co. She has created 17 unique rugs in simple,
graphic patterns with clear inspiration from the Scandinavian
design traditions of the 50’s, 60’s and
70’s. |

Designer Nina Tvedt, of Tvedt &
Co., has created the 17 rugs in the collection in simple, graphic
patterns and a contemporary colour scale.
These are rugs that
don’t just feel good to walk on and look at - they can also
be used with a clear conscience. The feel-good-rugs range are
produced in traditional Nepalese workshops in a scheme supported
by the Danish overseas development agency Danida’s Private
Sector Program, using environment-friendly and ethically-correct
production methods.

Feel-good-rugs weave two cultures together - the traditions
of Scandinavian design and Oriental weaving.
The rugs are produced
in a rug workshop in Nepal, where they are hand-woven in
accordance with centuries-old handicraft techniques. Only
the best Tibetan highland- and New Zealand wools are used
for these exclusive rugs, all of which are very high quality
and durable. Silk is also used in some of the rugs for pattern
separation, which adds sumptuous texture.
